Today was my baby's first day of his last year of preschool. Next up is kindergarten. He was super nervous about starting school. His best friend that he has had in his class the past 2 years, Matthew, moved away and it just wasn't the same without him. Thankfully, he has 2 of his best buddies since birth, Tripp and Sawyer, in his class so I know he is going to have a great year.

He picked out his own shoes this year. He has been begging to wear them since we bought them but we saved them for today.

When we got to the school. you can see how his smile changed...he told me he was 'embawassed.' This is his sweet teacher, Mrs. Kathryn.

First Day of School

Yesterday was Sam's first day of 4th grade and Eli's first day of 2nd grade. I had been saying for the last few weeks of summer that I thought I was ready for them to go back. I thought I was ready for our routine again (...and less arguing and bickering). Before I even took them to school yesterday, I quickly realized I WASN'T READY. I wanted it to be May 23rd all over again. I wanted to start our summer all over. I miss them so much!

They woke up excited but nervous. Eli didn't want to eat his breakfast because he said his stomach hurt a little. Sam told me that he was shaking but not cold. I knew it was nerves. They did great though and both had a great day!
