My mom and step dad came over Christmas Eve for dinner and to exchange presents. This was the first time I "hosted" our Christmas Eve get-together and it was probably our most relaxing one yet. We had dinner, my mom's special Christmas Eve punch (that she has made every Christmas Eve since I can remember) and lots of cookies and sweets.
I saw this on Pinterest (I LOVE Pinterest!) a while back and my boys love Root Beer so I knew I had to make it :)
Christmas Eve was an especially memorable one this year for Sam because not only did Santa visit, the Tooth Fairy did too! He and Jay were throwing a hat back and forth...random, I know! The bill of the hat just so happened to hit Sam in the mouth and knock out his tooth. It was already a little wiggly. Not only did it knock that tooth out but it made the other front tooth wiggly too! Jay felt horrible!!!
The boys with Grandma and Papaw Wes
Time for PRESENTS!! Christmas was extra fun with the boys this year. Their excitement was contagious!
Thomas overload!
Magician Eli
Sam got a Sports Illustrated College Football book that he has been BEGGING for
After presents, it was getting late so Grandma and Papaw Wes left. We had planned to go drive around and look at Christmas lights but Sam looked at his Santa tracker on his iPod and saw that Santa was in Atlanta so we had to hurry and get ready for bed. I don't think they have ever been in such a rush to get to bed before!
We set out the cookies and milk for Santa
Took some PJ pics
And our tradition of reading of the Night Before Christmas
Then off to bed they went so Santa could come!
The boys woke up just a little before 6
My living room on Christmas morning! Toys, boxes and paper EVERYWHERE!
After every present was opened, we got ready to head to my aunt's house to celebrate Christmas with my dad's side of the family and my nieces and nephews.

That night when we got back home, Jay's mom came over
Another football book! He LOVES them all! He's a bit obsessed with football and I think he may even know more about it than Jay! ha!
