Yesterday we met with some great friends for a Cookies and Milk with Santa party. I kept Sam out of school *just this once* so he could come too. This was only his 2nd time to be absent but I knew he would be so upset if his brothers got to see Santa and he didn't. Thank you to Kimberly and Karen for putting it together!
When Santa first came in, they couldn't keep their eyes off him!
Telling Santa EVERYTHING they want for Christmas. I think it would be easier for them to just tell him everything they don't want. That list is much shorter!

My poor little guy!! He liked Santa from a distance but when we got closer, he freaked out!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!!!
Thanksgiving has to be up at the top of my list of favorite holidays. Although we are fortunate enough to live close to most of our family and can see them pretty much any time we want, there is just something special about getting together with family on Thanksgiving Day. I love it!!
We started our day at my mom's house and ended our day at my MIL's house. I'm not sure I have ever eaten so much food as I have today! I just kept eating and eating and eating....It was just too good to stop!
The boys played their little hearts out with their cousins.
Now we are looking forward to a long fun weekend of watching some football...ROLL TIDE!!
And a date night to celebrate 7 years of wedded bliss :) I can't wait!

Don't Worry, Be Happy

Better late than never! I was tagged last week by my sweet friend, Lindsay, to list 10 things that make me happy. This was really hard because my list goes on and on and on so just listing 10 is the difficult part. Here goes...
1. This guy
I love him to pieces! I don't tell him enough just how much I truly love him but I do....SO MUCH! I have to tell ya...the first time that I met him, I had no clue that this was the one God had handpicked for me. But sometime during our first date (8 years ago), I realized it. On November 30th, we will be celebrating our 7 year anniversary!
2. My boys
Oh how they make me HAPPY! Their faces, their smiles, their hugs, their laughs....I love everything about them!
3. Our moms
We have THE BEST!!
4. My friends
What to say about my friends....wow....you all know who you are and hopefully you know how much each of you mean to me!
5. Things that make me laugh
6. Need I say more :)
7. Shopping!
Shopping in general makes me happy but shopping for kids clothes is my FAVORITE!
8. Finding a GOOD SALE!
Number 7 and Number 8 kind of go hand in hand.
9. Nightly prayer time with my family
We started this (praying TOGETHER as a family) about 2 years ago and I hope it is something that continues always. Every night before we put the boys to bed, we all pile on the couch and pray together. Each one of us says our prayer out loud...first Eli, then Sam, then me, then Jay. Once Luke is old enough, he will go first. Then we all group hug, which we call "Hairston Huddles." I know I mentioned this a few posts back but for the month of November we have all been saying something that we are thankful for before we start our prayers. We have to say something different every night. Usually the boys end up saying something more than once but I still love that it makes them think about all the people and things God has blessed us with.
10. My camera
So now I'm going to tag some friends. Come on...tell us....what makes you happy?

Sock Monkey
My MIL made Luke the cutest sock monkey for his first birthday. You can tell she put a lot of time in to it. It even has his name stitched in on the bottom. He LOVES this thing! He drags it all over the house with him.

Turkey Cookies
I don't know what it is about the holidays but this time of year makes me feel crafty. I want to bake more and do more creative stuff. I found this fun little decorating idea for turkey cookies and thought the boys would like it and they did!
Sam doesn't like candy corn so he decorated his with m&m's
Delish!
